Retrosketches # 79!

Hello There!

Here is a card I made for the latest challenge over at Retrosketches!

Here is the inspiration sketch…….

A great sketch and I love the feathers but unfortunately I have no feather  products in my stash at the moment. However I am soon planning to put this right as they have some great new feather dies at and exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and they are in my shopping basket as we speak!!!

Anyway enough of that! For this card I decided to use a new 6×6 pad by Glitz – Dapper Dan. this has a lot of great male themed papers which is a good thing as I always gravitate towards the cute/flowery and do not have much male themed product to work with. Also I love a good moustache!…….and there is a great moustache themed paper in this pad. So I combined these papers with a great moustache die cut….(I really like the word moustache too!!) from the silhouette store.

Anyhow here is my card……..

Supplies: Card – PTI Kraft. Papers – Glitz dapper Dan 6×6 pad. Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Circles. Stamps – Paper Smooches Word Up. Buttons PTI Kraft. Moustache die cut from the Silhouette Store.

Have a great day!

Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge

Hi There

Here is my latest card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.……..Picture Perfect.

The idea with this challenge is that a photo provides inspiration for a project. So here is this week’s photo!

Don’t you just love those frames! I decided to use a great set of frame dies and stamps from Papertrey Ink together with some bright happy ink colours. The sentiments are from various Paper Smooches sentiment stamp sets. I think I have collected almost all of their sentiment sets……..I love the funky fonts and great sentiments!

I stamped a couple of the frames and sentiments flat on the card base and popped the rest up on foam dots to add some dimension.

Here is the finished card………

Supplies: Card – PTI White. Stamps – PTI Label Basics, Paper Smooches Many Thanks, Slang Gang and Good Gab. Inks – PTI Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy. MFT Sour Apple, Grape Jelly, Blu Raspberry and Lemon Drop.

Bye until next time!

Colour Q Challenge # 202

Hello Again

I really like the colour combination in the latest Colour Q Challenge…..It is one I have never used and probably would not have thought of using if it were not for this challenge!. This is what I like so much about Colour Q colour combos they help me to step out of my usual colour comfort zones and try something new!

Here is the inspiration for this weeks Colour Q Challenge…….

I have all of these Stampin Up! colours apart from Ruby Red…So I substituted PTI Pure Poppy which is the nearest I have to this red.

Here is my card………

I decided to keep it relatively simple this week (at least for me!!). So I stamped a background using a Paper Smooches Stamp with SU Basic Grey, So Saffron and PTI Pure Poppy inks and matted this on to some SU Daffodil Delight card with a Basic Grey card base. I then added my sentiment on a banner and a Pure Poppy bow.

Supplies: Card –  SU Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey, PTI White. Stamps – Paper Smooches Potpourri, Hero Arts Find Joy . Inks – SU Basic Grey, So Saffron PTI Pure Poppy, Versafine Onyx Black Dies – MFT Fishtail Flag Banners. Ribbon  and Buttons from my stash. Fiskars paper trimmer. Martha Stewart Mini Score Board.

Thanks for looking!
